ANONYMOUS DONORS START NEW FUND WITH $50,000
An endowed fund for Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels has been created with the New Braunfels Area Community Foundation, according to Brit King, president and CEO of the NBACF.

Family Promise is a national program that celebrated its 25th anniversary in October. Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels is the 182nd affiliate and is the only shelter for families with children in the county and surrounding area. The program offers an opportunity for volunteers of all faiths to reduce homelessness and transform lives.

The fund was launched with a $50,000 donation from donors who wished to remain anonymous, but hope that the fund will encourage others to contribute, King said.

Stacey Minor, Network Director at Family Promise, in a prepared statement, said: "We are so grateful for this unexpected and generous gift. The creation and development of this endowed fund will help to ensure that Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels can continue offering help to families in our area who are in need."

The New Braunfels Area Community Foundation is a publicly supported charitable organization. Its mission is to develop and encourage a culture of philanthropy by accepting gifts, administering funds, investing assets, and making grants to charitable organizations on behalf of donors for the greater benefit of the area.
